Welcome & History of Ministers Fellowship of the West Indies (MFWI)
MFWI has its beginning in 1984. It is an independent fellowship set up for the sole purpose of linking ministers to ministers. It was established distinctly to provide for the strengthening of ministers whilst maintaining a high regard for the autonomy of every local church.
A small group of ministers met on the third Saturday of each month with three main objectives: Breakfast, Fellowship & Prayer.
We first met at the Salem Tabernacle hosted by Pastor Kenneth Sammy, however Wilfred Paul hosted the fellowship meetings for the longest period.
The leaders/pastors who attend this fellowship felt like they were alone, they had a distinct vision, common value system and doctrinal distinction that were compatible. Apart from joining a traditional denomination, there was no vehicle through which they could associate themselves with other like minded leaders. In response to this cry, MFWI was established to be that vehicle.
